Student Successes!
We love to celebrate the current achievements of our talented students whether it be in sports, music, art etc. But if it's outside of school, we often don't hear about it or don't know the full details.

Please help us, by emailing Rebecca Steers and also  This will ensure the information gets through to the newsletter and Rebecca who co-ordinates the Achievers Wall that is completed at the end of each year.

Pippa Bell-Bloom was very busy at the end of Term 1, placing 2nd in the Dunedin School Orienteering competition.  She then went on to place 2nd in the Otago Orienteering Yr 7 & 8 category, awesome!!

Congratulations go to Eva Woodhouse who has made it into the Otago Basketball U15 Development Team for 2018.

Congratulations also go to Solal Mourat (far right) who placed 2nd in the Advanced Parkour Competition at the Dunedin Gymnastic Academy at the end of Term 1!!
Most definitely worthy of a mention is Bridie Wallace (below) who was given a scholarship by the Southern Steel at the end of the netball season last year, to attend a term of training with them at the Edgar Centre.  She was the only girl from DNI and has just completed the Term 1 session.

Members of the Southern Steel took the sessions, which was fabulous.  Bridie learnt heaps from the experience and can't wait for netball to kick off this term!

Winter Sports
