Winter Electives run for Week 4 of Term 3 (August 12-15). Please find linked below the options and an approximate budget (the final budget will be within 10% of the estimate). We are aware that many of these are costly - the cost of everything is rising! We ask that you discuss the options with your child and select the elective that suits your child's interest and your budget (but we also have fundraising options - see below).
All electives target key competencies, especially relating to others, participation and communication, and managing self. The learning is targeted around developing these essential competencies, and will be well outlined in the confirmation letter.
Registrations for electives close at 12pm on Monday May 6 and we will then determine which electives will go ahead based on numbers. We will be able to confirm which elective your child is registered in, and the final cost by early June (or sooner).
The electives programme could not run without a parental contribution. This is not a voluntary payment because there is a choice about what one opts to do. Remember also you can register for fundraising, and proceeds are banked against your account.
Some of these electives have limits on the number of students we can take. We may shut them off early if they become oversubscribed so please do fill in the form as soon as possible. If this happens we will hold a ballot.
PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR YOUR ELECTIVE UNTIL YOU HAVE HAD CONFIRMATION IN JUNE.
